There Is No Outside

There Is No Outside is a game of community building and survival inside a liminal labyrinth. Inspired by settings such as Infinite Ikea, The Backrooms, and The Thompson Extension. Players will create a settlement from which to rest and make the best of an impossible situation. As they set out into The Labyrinth on explorations to gather supplies, they will meet other wanderers, find supplies, and run from entities, all so that they may develop their small corner of this dreamlike prison.

Built on Cloudshore Games' Vibe System, players will roll percentiles against their stats/skills, trying to meet or roll below the score to succeed at tasks. Primarily uses percentiles, but a full polyhedral set is used for combat and various GM tools. Contains a full Game Masters Toolbox and some pre-built adversaries should players wish to engage in combat. Rules are compatible with other Vibe System Games, allowing for game groups to mix and match elements as they like.

There Is No Outside was created to participate in the Minimalist Game Jam hosted by Binary Star Games. The current version is a near complete Free Version of the game, containing the full rules. The final free version will contain the Character Sheet, Settlement Sheet, and a ready-made region of The Labyrinth to explore!
